Job summary

Teaching Assistant role at a mainstream Primary School in Leeds requires experience supporting children with SEND and SEMH needs. You will provide 1:1 support and general classroom assistance across multiple Key Stages.

The position is supply-based with short-term and long-term opportunities, paid on a PAYE basis at £95 - £105 per day. CPD courses and onboarding support are provided by TeacherActive.

The school is committed to helping pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs engage positively with their education and reach their potential.

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis, with both short-term and long-term opportunities available. The successful Teaching Assistant will work across multiple Key Stages, providing general classroom support alongside 1:1 support for children with a range of SEND and SEMH needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children within a primary school or educational setting
• Experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH needs
• Confidence providing 1:1 and general classroom support
• The ability to work effectively across different Key Stages
• A patient, positive and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
