Qualifications

• Experience working within a secondary school setting.
• Experience supporting students across KS3 and/or KS4.
• Understanding of the Secondary Curriculum.
• Strong communication and classroom support skills.
• Positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach.

Responsibilities

• Support students across KS3/KS4 in the classroom.
• Work alongside teaching staff to support learning, engagement and progress.
• Contribute to day-to-day and long-term classroom activities.

The school provides a supportive learning environment for students across the secondary age range, with the successful Secondary Teaching Assistant becoming a valued part of the school team.

The school is looking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant for both day to day and long-term opportunities from September 2026. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 or Key Stage 4 / KS4, working alongside teaching staff to support learning, engagement and progress within the classroom.

The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not required
• Experience working within a secondary school setting
• Experience supporting students across KS3 and/or KS4
• A good understanding of the Secondary Curriculum
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach
