Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant for a mainstream Primary School in Sunderland. The role is long-term and starts after October half term, supporting Years 3 to 6 with 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths and English.

You should have a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (desirable) and experience in UK primary schools, with strong communication and classroom management to help pupils progress.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions across KS2.

• Assist across Years 3–6 in Maths, English and other primary subjects.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor pupil progress.

Salary: £93-£110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Sunderland, who are looking to appoint a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can support pupils in developing their confidence, independence and academic abilities throughout Key Stage 2.

The school is looking to take on a KS2 Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting after October half term. The successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will be working across Years 3 to 6, delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths, English and other areas of the primary curriculum, while supporting pupils of varying abilities to make progress in their learning.

The successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Experience working with children in a UK primary school setting
• Experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions across KS2
• A good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Maths and English
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A patient, flexible and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning
