Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher to inspire and motivate pupils in a mainstream Primary School in Durham. The role is long-term, starting after October half term, and involves teaching across Years 3 to 6, planning and delivering lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.

The successful candidate will hold QTS (ECTs welcome), have KS2 UK primary school experience, and be able to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons while fostering a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTS for ECTs welcome
• Experience teaching KS2 in a UK primary school
• Strong understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum, including English and Maths
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• Positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging KS2 lessons across Years 3–6
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Durham, who are looking to appoint a dedicated KS2 Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in developing their confidence, independence and academic abilities within a positive and engaging learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a KS2 Teacher on a long-term basis, starting after October half term. The successful KS2 Teacher will be working across Years 3 to 6, planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, assessing pupil progress and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The successful KS2 Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 / KS2 in a UK primary school
• A strong understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum, including English and Maths
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
