Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a reputable mainstream primary school in Gravesend. You will support pupils across Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and 2, delivering 1:1 help and small group interventions, including SEND support.

Start date flexible and on a temporary, full-time basis. The role requires a relevant TA qualification if possible, with experience in mainstream primary schools and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils across primary year groups.
• Experience with SEND and assisting learners with diverse needs.
• Ability to adapt activities for individual pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 pupil support and small group interventions across EYFS/KS1/KS2.

Salary: £100 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)

Do you have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a reputable mainstream Primary School based in Gravesend, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant. The school promotes a positive and inclusive learning environment, with patience, positivity and understanding at the heart of their approach to supporting pupils.

The school is looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant on a temporary, full-time basis, with flexibility around the start date. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils across Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS, Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2, providing both 1:1 support and small group interventions, including supporting children with SEND to access learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification / Level 2 or Level 3 (desirable but not essential)
• Previous experience working within a mainstream primary school setting
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND
• Experience delivering 1:1 pupil support and working with small groups across different year groups
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
• A patient, positive and understanding approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
