TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant for a mainstream Primary School in Newcastle, starting after October half term. The role involves supporting pupils across Years 3 to 6 with 1:1 and small group interventions to boost confidence and academic progress.

The successful candidate will have a TA qualification (L2/L3) and experience in a UK primary setting, with strong classroom management and a patient, proactive approach to learning support.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
• Experience working with children in a UK primary school setting.
• Experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions across KS2.
• Good understanding of the KS2 curriculum, particularly Maths and English.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Patient, flexible and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and academic abilities across KS2.
• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths and English and other areas of the primary curriculum.
• Work across Years 3 to 6 under the direction of the class teacher to help pupils make progress.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can support pupils in developing their confidence, independence and academic abilities throughout Key Stage 2.

The school is looking to take on a KS2 Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting after October half term. The successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will be working across Years 3 to 6, delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths, English and other areas of the primary curriculum, while supporting pupils of varying abilities to make progress in their learning.

The successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Experience working with children in a UK primary school setting
• Experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions across KS2
• A good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Maths and English
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A patient, flexible and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning
