Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Borrowash, to support an EYFS child with ADHD throughout the school day. The role runs ASAP until July 2027, helping with classroom activities, routines and learning in a structured, supportive environment.

The successful candidate will assist with engaging activities, build confidence and integrate the child into daily learning, working as part of a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN / SEND in a primary or Early Years setting.
• Experience supporting children with ADHD.
• A good understanding of EYFS and early childhood development.
• The ability to create engaging and positive learning experiences.
• A patient, energetic and caring approach.
• A can-do attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Help the child engage with classroom activities.
• Develop routines to support learning.
