MatthewArnold School in Oxfordshire is seeking a Teacher of Science for a fixed-term role from 01 January 2027 to 25 March 2027 to cover paternity leave. We welcome Early Career Teachers or experienced practitioners eager to develop their practice and contribute to strong GCSE and A Level outcomes.

The successful candidate will teach Science across key stages, plan engaging lessons, assess progress and support student welfare, working within a collaborative department and the Acer Trust

Requirements

• Degree in a Science with Qualified TeacherStatus.
• Experience teaching Science in a secondaryschool setting, including teaching placements.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding ofthe Science curriculum.
• Ability to inspire, engage and effectivelysupport students of all abilities while delivering excellent outcomes.
• A collaborative approach, commitment toprofessional development, and genuine enthusiasm for Science education.
