Job summary

Randstad Education in Bradford is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Science to start in September 2026. About the Role

This full-time position for a Teacher of Science begins in September 2026. Key Responsibilities

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons in alignment with the national curriculum.
2. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
3. Maintain high standards of classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour, punctuality, and active participation.
4. Adapt learning materials and teaching strategies to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and high-attaining learners.
5. Conduct practical laboratory experiments safely, strictly adhering to COSHH guidelines and health and safety policies.
6. Prepare Key Stage 4 students effectively for GCSE examinations through targeted revision and practice assessments.
7. Serve as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral guidance, building rapport, and supporting student wellbeing.
8. Participate in departmental meetings, cross‑curricular projects, open evenings, and parent's consultation events.
9. Continuously track pupil performance metrics to identify gaps in understanding and implement timely interventions.
10. Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Science curriculum.
