Job summary

Principal Education in North West London is seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join from January 2027 on a long-term basis through to the end of the academic year. You will deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 and prepare students for GCSE examinations.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or equivalent, have secondary Science teaching experience, and be capable of teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE level with strong classroom management.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Able to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE level, or a strong specialist in one of the three disciplines.
• Confident delivering practical Science lessons.
• Strong classroom practitioner with effective behaviour management skills.
• Able to differentiate effectively and support students with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach Science in line with the school's curriculum and examination requirements.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE Science examinations.
• Use practical demonstrations and investigations to bring scientific concepts to life.

• Establish a positive, safe and well-managed classroom environment.

About the Role
