Job summary

Mcbrides-Accountants-LLP is offering a Tax Trainee apprenticeship in Weybridge. You will join the Early Careers team and be immersed in our tax practice, with a structured training package designed to develop core tax skills and professional confidence.

You’ll work with our experienced tax team, handling personal tax computations, P11D submissions, client correspondence and general admin, while progressing towards professional qualifications and a robust career in accounting.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs minimum with Maths and English grade 6 or higher
• On track to achieve 3 A Levels (or equivalent) Grade C or above
• Strong motivation to learn and develop in a fast-paced tax environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and review of personal tax computations, data entry and drafting self-assessment tax returns
• Support preparation and submission of P11D forms and employer compliance tasks
• Manage client and HMRC correspondence with timely, professional communication
• Provide general tax administration support, maintain accurate records and track deadlines
• Assist with accounts preparation for sole traders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
• Support CIS and PAYE matters, excluding day-to-day payroll processing
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks to support the tax and accounts team

Education

5 GCSEs at minimum level 5 with level 6+ in Maths and English

As a Tax Trainee you’ll be fully immersed with our experienced Tax team, learning to provide great advice to clients. Life will be fast paced, engaging, creative and rewarding.

It’s a great opportunity to develop and progress within a forward-thinking and fast-paced firm. You’ll be:

• Assisting the team with the preparation and review of personal tax computations, including data entry and drafting self-assessment tax returns
• Supporting with the preparation and submission of P11D forms and related employer compliance tasks
• Managing client and HMRC correspondence, ensuring timely and professional communication
• Providing support with general tax administration duties, including maintaining accurate records and tracking key deadlines
• Assisting with accounts preparation for sole traders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Supporting with CIS and PAYE matters, excluding day-to-day payroll processing
• Undertaking ad-hoc tasks as required to support the wider tax and accounts team
