Job summary

DJH, in partnership with TWP, invites applicants to join as a Tax Trainee apprentice in Weybridge. You’ll work with the tax team, learn to prepare personal tax computations, P11Ds, client correspondence, and accounts for sole traders.

Ideal candidates are finishing college, with strong Maths/English GCSEs, and on track for A-Levels. This fast-paced role offers funded study support and exposure to diverse client work in a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Academic requirements: GCSEs incl Maths & English at level 5/6 and on track for 3 A Levels (or equivalent) Grade C or above.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
• Motivated to learn and develop in a fast-paced tax advisory environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and review of personal tax computations, including data entry and drafting self-assessment tax returns.
• Support with preparation and submission of P11D forms and related employer compliance tasks.
• Manage client and HMRC correspondence, ensuring timely and professional communication.
• Provide support with general tax administration duties, including maintaining accurate records and tracking deadlines.
• Assist with accounts preparation for sole traders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support with CIS and PAYE matters, excluding day-to-day payroll processing.
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks to support the wider tax and accounts team.

As a Tax Trainee you’ll be fully immersed with our experienced Tax team, learning to provide great advice to clients. Life will be fast paced, engaging, creative and rewarding.
