Job Role

To deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to clients within the Agriculture and Property Team. To support the development of the practice under supervision, while continuously enhancing personal expertise in relevant tax areas to ensure clients receive the most accurate and up-to-date advice.

Location: Banbury

Salary Package: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities

• Handle tax compliance for a mixed client portfolio
• Work with the Senior Management Team on complex tax projects including:
  • Inheritance Tax appraisals and planning
  • VAT advice
  • Stamp Duty Land Tax advice
  • Capital Gains Tax planning and compliance
  • Liaising with HMRC on investigations
• Review and assist with tax returns
• Train and support staff on tax matters.
• Provide tax support to other departments as and when required.
• Maintain regular client contact.
• Attend relevant training to meet CPD requirements.
• Support the development and growth of the Agriculture and Property team.

• Personal and Business Taxes
• Capital taxes, including Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax
• Familiarity with taxation software and HMRC online services
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work commercially with a client-focused approach
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to generate ideas
• High technical accuracy and attention to detail in advice and record-keeping
• ACA/ACCA and/or CTA is essential
• Minimum 3 years' proven tax experience within a practice environment
