Job summary

Howden is offering a Talent Acquisition Apprentice role in the UK. You’ll join a permanent role and a structured 18‑month development programme designed to build your recruiting knowledge, professional skills and confidence to kick start your career.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience across the full recruitment process, create engaging job descriptions and marketing content, coordinate interviews and assess candidates. No insurance experience needed; we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

Qualifications

• Interest in recruitment and helping people find career opportunities.
• Clear, confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
• Organised with strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Willing to learn about Howden and the wider insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Learn how Talent Acquisition partners with hiring managers to understand skills and build high‑performing teams.
• Help create engaging job descriptions and recruitment marketing content.
• Arrange interviews and assessment centres by coordinating diaries and confirming availability.
• Communicate with candidates and provide clear updates on applications.
• Review first‑stage applications and learn to identify candidates with potential.
• Learn to review live and pre‑recorded video interviews.
• Conduct market research and help identify trends and insights.
• Learn to use the systems and tools that support recruitment.
