This Systems Support Analyst post sits in the Systems team within Health Informatics at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, working on clinical applications. The role covers technical administration, configuration, development and user support for one or more of the Trust's clinical IT systems, with data quality and system availability as key aims. Experience of radiology and cardiology systems is welcome, and the post requires travel across Trust sites. Candidates must be able to produce every essential certificate before pre-employment checks can begin.

Qualifications

Experience

• Substantial technical role experience, minimum 2 years, with evidence of professional development
• Maintaining and supporting computer systems
• Developing computer-based solutions
• Systems development and database environments
• Managing configuration changes through controlled procedures and testing
• Customer service or customer-facing experience resolving issues

Skills & knowledge

• Demonstrable SQL skills
• Demonstrable use of software and software development tools
• Sound working knowledge of computer-based systems
• Data analysis techniques and tools, including reconciling discrepancies across data sources
• Dealing with complex queries about systems and data
• Planning and organising workload to meet objectives and deadlines

Other

• Communicating highly complex, sensitive or contentious information where barriers exist
• Use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel across Trust sites
