Senior Sustainability Consultant

Manchester

I am currently supporting a leading multidisciplinary design practice in their search for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join their expanding environmental team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on complex, high-profile projects and enjoys working collaboratively across diverse sectors including workplace, healthcare, education, heritage, leisure and residential.

You’ll be joining a dynamic sustainability function involved in strategies, net-zero frameworks, lifecycle assessments, wellbeing standards, post-occupancy evaluations and ESG consultancy. The role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful, evidence-based solutions that influence planning, design and construction outcomes.

Essential Criteria
  • Formal qualification in sustainability, environmental management or a built-environment discipline
  • Proven experience delivering sustainability consultancy within the built environment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK environmental and sustainability legislation
  • Experience delivering BREEAM assessments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical report writing
  • Confident presenting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with LEED, Ska or WELL assessments
  • Competence using lifecycle assessment tools such as OneClick LCA
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience conducting circularity assessments
  • Knowledge of NABERS or post-occupancy evaluation methodologies
  • Broader understanding of ESG consultancy
  • Demonstrated interest in emerging sustainability themes and industry innovation
