Job summary

A reputable housing provider is seeking an experienced Supported Housing Officer to deliver community-based support to vulnerable adults in NW London. The role involves managing a caseload, conducting regular patch visits, and providing housing-related support to sustain tenancies. Supported Housing Officer

Location: NW London
Rate: £19-20 Per Hour
Contract: 6 Months Contract
Working Pattern: On-patch, community-based (daily presence required)

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Supported Housing Officer on behalf of a housing provider delivering frontline support to vulnerable adults in the community. This is a patch-based role, requiring daily visits and face‑to‑face engagement with residents. The service supports individuals with mental health needs, domestic violence histories, asylum seekers and ex‑offenders, so candidates must be confident managing complex cases and risk.

The Role
  • Provide housing‑related support to vulnerable residents to help sustain tenancies
  • Manage a caseload of residents with complex needs
  • Carry out regular patch visits, welfare checks and risk assessments
  • Develop and review support plans and complete safeguarding referrals
  • Work closely with external agencies including mental health teams, probation and local authorities
  • Record accurate case notes and maintain compliance with service standards
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in supported housing, floating support or tenancy sustainment
  • Experience working with mental health, domestic abuse, asylum seekers or ex‑offenders
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and confident risk management skills
  • Comfortable working independently on patch, five days a week
  • Excellent communication and report‑writing skills
