Job summary

Orwell Housing is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Hinde House in Norwich. You will deliver personalised, strengths-based support to women who are homeless or at risk, helping them set goals, access resources and build confidence in a safe environment.

The role involves collaboration with partners, safeguarding practices, and contributing to a holistic service that advances residents' independence and wellbeing. DBS checks are part of the process; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 9-4 / A-C or equivalent).
• Full driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create personalised, outcome-focused support plans reflecting each customer's goals, strengths and aspirations.
• Help customers understand and manage risks safely, encouraging positive risk-taking in partnership with other support services.
• Participate in referrals and risk assessments to maintain a safe, supportive environment for customers and staff.
• Build positive relationships with customers and partners to support service growth and quality of care.
• Support customers to connect with local communities, volunteering, training, education and employment opportunities.
• Advocate for customers and ensure their lived experiences guide the support they receive.
