Job summary

Active Pathways Ltd is recruiting a Night Support Worker for Brookhaven and The Hamptons at our Bamber Bridge site near Preston. You will provide person-centred care in a mixed gender residential service and support men with complex mental health needs in a secure inpatient setting.

The role is full-time, 38.5 hours per week, with 7:45pm–7:45am shifts on a two-week rota. Pay is £13.45 per hour, with overtime at £14.95.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a mental health or rehabilitation setting is essential.
• Ability to build rapport with residents and team members.
• Strong understanding of person-centred, recovery-focused care.
• Positive, supportive approach with focus on recovery and inclusion.
• Experience with diverse mental health diagnoses and challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
• Help residents develop independent living skills and personal goals.
• Support residents with daily activities and community engagement.
• Assist with emotional, social, and practical needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent support.
• Promote independence, self-confidence and relapse prevention.

Night Support Worker

Mental Health Rehabilitation – Brookhaven & The Hamptons
Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston
Pay: £13.45per hour with overtime paid at £14.95 per hour
