Active Pathways Ltd is recruiting a Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join Fernside House in Armley, Leeds. The role focuses on person-centred, recovery-oriented care for men with enduring mental health needs.

You will supervise Recovery Support Workers, deliver high-quality personal care, and support the team to achieve best outcomes for residents. This is a days-shift role with a two-week rolling rota, offering development opportunities, training, and a supportive, values-driven

Responsibilities

  • Support and supervise Recovery Support Workers in assisting residents with daily living tasks to promote independence.
  • Provide personal care and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with evidence-based practices.
  • Act as a role model and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of management.
  • Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing staff development through supervision and training.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well‑being of service users is at the forefront of care.
  • Facilitate recovery-focused activities and support residents in achieving their personal goals.
  • Handle medication and maintain accurate care records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Senior Mental Health Support Worker (Days)

Location: Fernside House, Armley, Leeds

Hours: 39.37 hours per week

Salary: £15.00 per hour + £16.50 overtime + On-Call paid £35 pw

Shift Pattern: 7:30am - 8:00pm, two-week rolling rota

  • Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun
  • Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri

To ensure consistency in our care delivery, applicants must already have the Right to Work in the UK for a minimum of 18 months from their agreed start date.

Fernside House will provide a safe and supportive home for men with enduring mental health needs, and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing consistent, high-quality care while also supporting and guiding colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
