About us:

At Active Prospects, we are passionate about enabling people with learning disabilities, autism, physical and mental health needs to lead full and aspiring lives. As a charitable organisation, our purpose is rooted in person-centred support, co-production, inclusion and a belief that everyone should have the opportunity to live a meaningful life in their own home and community.

If you are looking for a role where your work has real purpose, where your values matter, and where you can help people achieve ordinary and extraordinary goals, we would love to welcome you to our growing teams!

About the Service:

Three Bridges Road currently supports four individuals and is a Female only service. All have previously been inpatients in hospital settings and are now making Three Bridges Road their long‑term home. The ladies require a wide range of support from emotional support, learning new coping mechanisms and finding their way into Adulthood. They have autism and a range of other diagnoses.

The role is about supporting people to lead a Gloriously ordinary life full of opportunity, fun and helping people to reach their goals and aspirations. The role can be tough, but the rewards outweigh. For example, one individual has spent 26 years in a hospital setting but now has lived in the service independently for 2 years. One person has a paid job, and two people go to college. The ladies especially like days out such as Brighton on the bus, clubbing, karaoke, eating out and planning events.

One of the people we support accesses the community independently and with support, enjoys weekly wash‑and‑blow‑dry appointments and attends live music events. One of the people we support volunteers at a local dog shelter and enjoys lego, puzzles and diamond art. One of the people we support enjoys swimming and would like to return to this activity. One of the people we support attends weekly kung fu classes and completes yoga online. They all enjoy spending time together in the Zen Den watching Netflix and socialising!

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal people will have a passion for working with people with enduring mental health, a keen interest in the psychology behind complex behaviours that challenge, and the willingness to learn and practice Positive Behaviour Support.
