Active Pathways Ltd is recruiting a Senior Mental Health Support Worker for Fernside House, Armley, Leeds. The role involves leading daily care delivery, supervising Recovery Support Workers, and ensuring person-centred, recovery-focused care for men with enduring mental health needs.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, mentor staff, and help residents achieve personal goals while adhering to care plans, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support and supervise Recovery Support Workers in assisting residents with daily living tasks to promote independence.
• Provide personal care and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with evidence-based practices.
• Act as a role model and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of management.
• Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing staff development through supervision and training.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well‑being of service users is at the forefront of care.
• Facilitate recovery-focused activities and support residents in achieving their personal goals.
• Handle medication and maintain accurate care records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Senior Mental Health Support Worker (Days)

Location:Fernside House, Armley, Leeds
Hours:39.37 hours per week
Salary:£15.00 per hour + £16.50overtime +On-Call paid £35 pw
Shift Pattern:7:30am - 8:00pm, two-week rolling rota

• Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun
• Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri

Fernside House will provide a safe and supportive home for men with enduring mental health needs, and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to person‑centred, recovery‑focused care. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing consistent, high-quality care while also supporting and guiding colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
