Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a dedicated Support Worker for Linsell House, a care home providing residential and respite care for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities. You will help meet residents' physical, emotional and social needs and support daily life skills.

Shifts cover days, nights and weekends; medication administration is taught during the first months. DBS and right to work in the UK are required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with disabilities in a relevant setting.
• Ability to communicate clearly and document observations.
• Willingness to learn medication administration during induction.

Responsibilities

• Meet residents' physical, emotional and psychological needs in a supportive environment.
• Provide support across all areas of personal care.
• Develop and maintain residents' daily life skills and interactions.
• Learn to administer medication, with training in the first few months.
• Support management in running different service areas.
• Attend meetings and appointments with residents.
