Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a dedicated bank support worker for Shaftesbury North East, Heaton and Walker site, to help adults with complex needs live independently following person-centred plans. You may provide personal care, assist with medications, and cover sleep-in shifts as needed.

Necessary qualifications include NVQ/QCF level 2 (or willingness to work towards it) and at least 12 months of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF level 2, or willingness to work towards it while in the role.
• Minimum 12 months' experience supporting people with complex needs, learning disabilities, autism and behaviours of concern in supported living.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and encouragement, taking direction from the person supported and their person-centred support plan.
• Maintain accurate records while at work, in line with service requirements.
• Administer personal care and medication when required.
• Cover sleep-in sessions when required.
