Job description

Are you considering a career in Care/Support? Or are you an experienced Carer/Support Worker who believes in showing qualities of kindness, compassion and respect. Joining the Radis family means that you will share our belief in the quality of care that we provide. We call these beliefs our 'Values'. Our shared values are at the heart of everything we do to ensure that our role always makes a positive impact to people’s lives.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain their individuality and vital independence. You’ll help the people we support - often with restricted mobility - to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms and bathrooms at their request.

You’ll help them with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing – this will mean you’ll understand the importance of privacy and dignity – so important to everyone. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by being a part of the recreational and social activities with the people we support, and as a group.

And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging!
