Job summary

Radis Community Care in Congleton is seeking a part-time Support Worker for our Extra Care Scheme. This role focuses on helping elderly residents maintain independence, including assisting with personal care, mobility, and social activities.

You will join a team that provides full training, a clear progression path, and supportive structures, with 16 hours on average per week and pay of £12.80 on weekdays or £13.10 on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, hygiene and dressing.
• Aid mobility and accompany residents to dining areas and communal spaces.
• Encourage participation in recreational and social activities, individually or in groups.
• Promote independence, dignity and respect by delivering high standards of support.
• Support residents in line with care plans and care certificate training as required.

Radis Community Care have an opportunity for Support Workers to join our team based in Heath View Extra Care Service, Congleton.

£12.80 Weekdays, £13.10 Weekend days.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be predominately supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain independence. The role involves aiding the people we support - often with restricted restricted mobility - to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request.

The role will require you to assist the people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with the people we support, both individually and as a group.

The role is to promote the people we supports' independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of support.
