Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a Support Worker for our Extra Care Scheme in England. You will assist elderly residents with mobility, personal care and daily activities, helping them stay independent in their own homes and communities.

We provide full training toward the Care Certificate, paid shadowing, uniform and PPE, pension, and ongoing support. Part-time hours are available across shifts, including evenings and weekends.

• Assist residents with personal care such as washing, hygiene and dressing.
• Support mobility and help residents move to dining areas and communal spaces.

Job description

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be predominately supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain independence. The role involves aiding the people we support - often with restricted restricted mobility - to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request. The role will require you to assist the people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with the people we support, both individually and as a group. The role is to promote the people we supports' independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of support.

Shifts

07.30am - 14.30pm 13.00pm - 19:00pm 14.30pm - 22.00pm Monday to Friday & Alternate weekends as part of rota.
