Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a Support Worker for the Ditchburn Place team in Cambridge. This role involves mornings and late shifts, over 25 hours weekly, with weekend alternation and cover for sickness and annual leave.

Applicants should be prepared for personal care tasks and mobility assistance to help residents maintain independence. The position focuses on dignity, respect and high-standard care, with full training provided.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a Support worker to join the Radis Team at Ditchburn Place, Cambridge.

This will be a mix of morning and late shifts, alternate weekends. 25 + hours per week, plus sickness and annual leave cover.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested.

The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group.

The core aim of this role is to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect, consistently delivering care to the highest standard.
