Job summary

Radis Community Care in England is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for our Extra Care Scheme, focused on helping elderly residents maintain independence at home and in the community.

You will assist with mobility, personal care, meals, and social activities, promoting dignity and respect while delivering high standards of care and ongoing support for new starters.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care or supporting adults is advantageous.
• Ability to assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, hygiene, and dressing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with residents, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with mobility and daily living needs, helping them move to dining areas and communal spaces.
• Support residents with personal care, including washing, hygiene, and dressing.
• Encourage participation in recreational and social activities to promote physical and mental stimulation.
• Promote residents' independence, dignity, and rights by delivering high standards of care.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be predominately supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain independence. The role involves aiding residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request.

The role will require you to assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group.

The role is to promote resident's independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of care.
