About Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Support Superstar Wanted!

Location: Runcorn
Shift Times: 9am - 9pm (some weekend work will be required)

Who You'll Be Supporting

Meet a vibrant 58-year-old woman with a big personality and a love for life! After a brain injury from a car accident 20 years ago, she faces some daily challenges—but with the right support, she is thriving.

She’s looking for someone calm, patient, and full of positive energy to help her navigate the day. You’ll be her right-hand person for:

  • Personal care
  • Housekeeping
  • Medication administration
  • Supporting her with eating, drinking, and shopping

If you're someone who can stay cool under pressure and bring a smile to someone’s day, you might be the perfect fit!

What Matters Most

In the past 6 months, the lady we support has rediscovered her love for getting out and about! Whether it’s dining at local restaurants, shopping trips, or joining community groups, she’s all about socialising and making connections.

At home, she enjoys:

  • Playing games on her iPad
  • Chatting with family and friends
  • Colouring in
  • Watching Netflix

She’s looking for someone who’ll support her independence while sharing in the fun.

Training & Support

You’ll receive full training in Moving & Handling and Medication Administration

You’ll be working alongside another team member on each shift, so you’re never alone in making a difference.

Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010

About you:

Got heart? You’re halfway there. At Community Integrated Care, we know it takes someone special to work in social care—and that doesn’t always mean having experience. We hire based on values, welcoming people from all walks of life: seasoned Support Workers, Care Assistants, those with lived experience, or even total newbies with a passion to care.
