Job summary

Keys Group's Woodlands in Acocks Green, Birmingham, is seeking a Female Support Worker over 18 to help adults with autism and mental health needs with daily routines and personal care.

You will promote independence, assist with health care tasks, accompany to appointments, support with budgeting and domestic tasks, and contribute to a safe, supportive home environment.

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying to routine appointments or administering medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

ROLE: Female Support Worker
LOCATION: Acocks Green B27 7NX
SALARY: £13.45 - £14.05* per hour
HOURS: 35 per week
Please note we require a Female Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

About Woodlands
Woodlands is a residential care home in Acocks Green, Birmingham, supporting up to six adults with autism and mental health needs
As a Support Worker, You Will Be Involved In The Day To Day Support And Routine Of The People Within The Service Including
  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
