Job summary

Keys Group in Birmingham is seeking a Support Worker for Westholme, a residential care home supporting adults with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities and ABI. The role covers day-to-day support, promoting independence, health care tasks including medication, and helping with life skills and personal care.

The position offers full-time hours, paid DBS checks, induction, and access to career development and employee benefits.

Job description

Westholme is a residential care home in a Victorian house in Moseley, Birmingham, supporting up to thirteen adults with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities and acquired brain injury (ABI).

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
