Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Male Support Worker over 18 to support individuals with brain injuries, autism and learning disabilities in their daily activities. The role focuses on promoting independence, personal skills, and community engagement while providing health care support and practical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support and routine for the people we support.
  • Prompt independence while helping them lead a fulfilling life.
  • Support & encourage development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Assist with health care needs and accompany to routine appointments or administer medication.
  • Teach life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
  • Assist with personal care as required.
  • Assist with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.

About Evergreen:

At Evergreen, we support individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries, Autism, and Learning Disabilities. Our aim is to encourage independence and help people to engage with the community and participate in everyday activities.
We currently support five individuals at this service. The people we support are largely independent and mainly require prompting, encouragement, and guidance to achieve their daily goals.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:
  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
