Job summary

Agincare in Wareham is seeking dedicated care support workers to help individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs achieve positive outcomes. You will join a compassionate team delivering person-centred support in a busy service that promotes independence.

We offer a supportive environment with opportunities for training, development and a practical path to career progression. Applicants should have a UK driving licence and valid right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.
• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
• A full UK Driving Licence

• Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating effectively using people’s chosen methods
• Engaging people we support to enhance their quality of life
• Specialising in positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as using your own initiative

Wareham

We support up to 11 people living within this service, promoting independent living.

We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

What is required from you?

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;
