Job summary

Agincare Wareham is seeking dedicated support workers to assist in delivering positive person-centred outcomes for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs.

You’ll work at Wareham, supporting up to 11 people in independent living, and join a team delivering outstanding outcomes. We offer training, pension, and a refer-a-friend scheme up to £500.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work.
• A full UK Drivers Licence.
• Bank Positions available at this service.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating effectively using people's chosen methods.
• Engaging, promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life.
• Specialising in supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
• Recording keeping accurate records and reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
• Team player - working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
