Job summary

Agincare Waterlooville is seeking experienced Support Workers to deliver person-centred care to individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs in a supported living setting.

You will help people to live as independently as possible, encourage community involvement, manage daily living tasks and record changes in health or circumstances for the team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with brain injuries or complex support needs.
• Ability to communicate using people’s chosen methods.
• Commitment to person-centred approaches and independence.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging people to participate in community activities and promote independence.
• Supporting activities of daily living including personal care, meals, planning and budgeting.
• Communicating using each individual’s preferred method.
• Engaging individuals to improve quality of life.
• Specialising in positive behavioural support where needed.
• Recording changes in health or circumstances and reporting to management.
• Team player who can also work independently.

You will be an experienced Support Worker with a passion for making a positive difference in people's lives. We are looking for individuals who have previous experience supporting people with brain injuries, non-verbal communication needs, and behaviours that may challenge. You will be enthusiastic, resilient, and person-centred, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality support.

You will support individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, and complex care requirements, empowering them to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Where you\'ll be working:

This is a unique supported living service in Waterlooville, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

We are looking for experienced Support Workers to join our dedicated and passionate team, continuing to deliver outstanding outcomes and person-centred support to the individuals we support.

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;

Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.

Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

Communicating- effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods

Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life

Specialising- supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches

Recording - keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management

Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
