Job summary

Acuity Care Group is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our Totnes team, providing 1:1 support during the day and overnight for a young gentleman living independently in his own flat in Totnes, Devon. The role involves assisting with daily living, mobility, personal care, and complex needs, with shifts from 09:00 to 21:00 and 21:00 to 09:00.

A Full UK driving licence is required and the position offers full-time and part-time hours.

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our dedicated team, providing 1:1 support during the day and overnight to a vibrant and outgoing young gentleman living independently in his own flat inTotnes, Devon.

He enjoys being active in his local community, including volunteering with a youth group and spending time supporting local young people. He attends the Quaker Society on Sundays and love arts and crafts, as well as getting out and about for coffee, lunch, and local walks. He is a big fan of sailing in a specially adapted boat with local sailors. He is a pet lover, his two guinea pigs are a big part of his life.

He has Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Non-Epileptic Attack Disorder (NEAD) and requires support with daily living, personal care, mobility, complex care, and psychological wellbeing. As a full-time wheelchair user, he relies on compassionate support to help him live as independently as possible. We are looking for someone who can provide consistent, person-centred support while promoting dignity, independence, choice, and quality of life.

Experience and Skills of a Support Worker:

• Full UK driving licence is required
