Job summary

National Care Group is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for Day shifts at Westward Care Home, Great Ellingham. You will support young adults with complex needs, build trusting relationships, plan daily tasks, and help residents develop skills toward greater independence in a warm, respectful environment.

The role includes paid training, opportunities to gain recognised qualifications, and a friendly team that values wellbeing.

Westward Care Home Limited - Great Ellingham

Salary: £13.01 per hour (£28,308.80 per annum, based on 40 hours per week)

Service: Westward Care Homes Limited - 8 Acres

8 Acres is situated in Great Ellingham. It is an 18 bed Residential Service providing accommodation and support for individuals with moderate and severe learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who can passionately support our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is a sometimes-challenging role but one with huge rewards.

  • You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together.
  • You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
  • You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
  • You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
  • You will make a positive impact on someone's life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
