Job summary

Acuity Care Group is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Higher Bugle, St. Austell, providing 1:1 support to a gentleman in his early 50s who lives independently.

The role focuses on daily living, communication, and behavioural support, helping him stay active in activities he enjoys and participate in the local community. Full training will be provided, including safeguarding and moving and handling as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with Autism and Learning disabilities would be advantageous but is not required, as full training will be provided.
• Genuine passion for supporting individuals to achieve the best possible quality of life.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships.
• Caring, compassionate, and patient approach to supporting individuals with complex care needs.
• Confidence in working as part of a team and following person-centred care plans.
• Ability to remain calm and responsive in challenging situations.
• Willingness to undertake specialist clinical training, including tracheostomy care and moving and handling.
• Understanding of safeguarding, dignity, choice, and promoting independence.
