Job summary

SIS Care in Runcorn is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will provide compassionate care, support individuals to reach their goals, and help them stay safe in a demanding yet rewarding environment.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives. A DBS check is required; enhanced DBS paid for by SIS is offered where applicable.

• Level 2 health & social care qualification or willing to work towards this.
• Experience of mental health needs and challenging behaviours, this can be work related or from life experiences.
• The post is subject to safer recruitment processes and an Enhanced DBS check.

The Support Worker role

Our teams provide outstanding care and support, working with individuals to understand their needs and help them to achieve their goals and ambitions. The role of a support worker is extremely rewarding, but can also be challenging at times, so patience and compassion are key.

About The Service

Southbank is a 100+ year old hotel converted into a mix of 7 self-contained flats & 7 en-suite rooms in the centre of the old town area of Runcorn. Southbank supports clients with complex mental health needs; it is staffed 24 hours a day and has a sleepover covering the nights. Whilst challenging, there is lots of opportunity for the successful candidate to help improve people’s lives and build an excellent team around the service.
