Job summary

Langley Trust in Poole is seeking a caring Residential Support Worker (Day) to provide day-time support to residents in our Poole services. You will help residents achieve personal goals and maintain wellbeing, working with colleagues to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires empathy, reliability and the ability to follow individual care plans; DBS clearance is required and training is provided. A competitive salary of £27,879.38 per annum is offered.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care or related roles desirable.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care preferred but training provided.
  • DBS clearance required prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised day-time care and support to residents, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meals, and medication administration as required.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Encourage social inclusion and participation in community activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of care and support.
  • Ensure a safe, clean environment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Report concerns or changes in residents' conditions promptly to management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality care services.

Role Overview

We are seeking a caring and committed Residential Support Worker (Day) to join our Poole team. This pivotal role involves providing day-time support to individuals living in our residential services, helping them to achieve their personal goals and maintain their wellbeing. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalised day-time care and support to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration as required.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Encourage social inclusion and participation in community activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care and support provided.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Report any concerns or changes in residents' conditions promptly to the management team.
  • Work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality care services.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience in a care, support, or related role within the Charity & Voluntary or Health, Nursing & Social Care sectors is desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent are preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and commitment to promoting best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake necessary training and development.
  • Enhanced DBS check clearance will be required prior to appointment.
