Job summary

Langley is seeking a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our Taunton team. This 12-month fixed-term, full-time role offers 37.5 hours weekly across 3 x 12.5 hour shifts, with some weekend work. You will support clients and contribute to our mission of empowering people and changing lives.

The salary package includes £25,590 per annum plus a 10% market premium (£2,559), recognizing the value of your work, with benefits and a supportive environment.

Langley is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team in Taunton. This is a 12 month fixed term contract, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, where you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting our clients and contributing to our mission. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £25,590 per annum (+ 10% market premium equating to an additional £2,559 per annum), recognising the value and impact of your work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide keywork support (including acting as Key Worker where required), maintaining accurate client records and using the Langley Client File to review progress and promote independence.
• Contribute to a safe, well-run service by following medication procedures, supporting participation and client meetings/involvement (including complaints), supporting prospective/former residents, maintaining safe/tidy environments, and participating in rotas and team meetings.
• Provide personal care as identified in care plans (including supporting with hygiene, dressing, continence care, mobility/moving and handling, and supporting access to health and social care professionals) and keep health-related records and care plans up to date.
• Assess and manage risk and challenging behaviour by using; planning, de-escalation, and knowledge of our clients. Maintain service security and situational/physical safety measures, liaising with relevant stakeholders as needed.
