Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker to join our team at Gledholt, Huddersfield. You’ll provide enhanced care and practical support to adults with learning disabilities, delivering person-centred help across day, night and weekend shifts.

We offer a competitive rate of £13.15 per hour, 42 hours a week, and opportunities for learning through our apprenticeship scheme, coaching, and progression. DBS checks are required.

We are looking for a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You’ll be working 42 hours a week (Days, Nights, and Weekends), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Gledholt.

Gledholt is an enhanced community residential service providing outcome focused support for adults with learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs.

Gledholt is operationally a nurse-led service with both a service manager and head of care being qualified nurses. We have an in-house multi-disciplinary team (MDT) who support the individuals in our care throughout their journey with us: consultant psychologist, psychology assistant, occupational therapist, occupational therapy assistant, activity co‑ordinators, nurses, and speech and language therapist. We are able to meet the changing needs of the people we support as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported.

Your Day-to-Day

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all our service users, patients & residents
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
