Job summary

SeeAbility is seeking a dedicated Support Worker at our East Hagbourne, Didcot home in Oxfordshire. You will help residents with daily routines, planning activities, and building relationships to enhance independence and wellbeing.

This is a full-time, permanent role with guaranteed hours. You’ll join a friendly team, receive training, and have access to pay-on-demand through Stream, supporting your financial flexibility and growth within the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Good spoken and written English is required.
  • A full UK manual driving licence is essential.
  • The right to live and work in the UK is required.
  • A practical, active approach to work, with the ability to support people throughout the day.
  • A caring, positive and resilient mindset is important.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily routines from morning to bedtime.
  • Plan and participate in person-centred activities (walks, shopping, trips).
  • Build trusted, respectful relationships to support confidence and wellbeing.
  • Keep clear and accurate records.
  • Work closely with colleagues and professionals to meet needs.

Job description

Support Worker – Make Every Day Matter!

Location: East Hagbourne, Didcot, Oxfordshire

Salary: £13.69 per hour (£26,695 per annum) plus benefits

Hours: 7.00 am – 3.00 pm, 2.00 pm – 10.00 pm (Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis. Please note, the shifts may vary due to the needs of the people we support)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Driving Requirement: Manual full UK licence essential

Visa Sponsorship is not available: Applicants must already be authorised to work in the United Kingdom; SeeAbility is not able to provide new work authorisation.

About the Home

You’ll be supporting Five young adults in their own homes, helping individuals with a range of complex needs, including:

  • Autism
  • Learning disabilities
  • Mental health conditions
  • Behaviours that may challenge

Join us in our shared homes where you’ll support 5 amazing individuals. You won’t be alone — you’ll be part of a passionate, caring team.

James* enjoys going to 'Farmability' where he gets to paint, feed the animals, do woodwork and much more. He has built his independence over the years and loves interacting with his housemates!

Jon* has the best sense of humour and always has a smile. He makes us laugh daily and is full of jokes. He loves to go swimming and to travel to Oxford and London.

Jake* enjoys sitting in the bedroom and listening to music. He has his own sensory swing in the garden which he likes to relax in. He has built up his courage to now go out and do swimming and long walks. He makes people laugh and giving out hugs and enjoys head rubs.

Joe* is an amazing young man, he loves to chill, trampoline, going out and shopping. He loves to keep busy.
