Job summary

Grace Eyre in Crawley is seeking a committed Support Worker to join its 24/7 supported living service for people with learning disabilities and autistic people. You will provide person-centred support, help with daily activities, build independence, and enable community access.

You will work as part of a dedicated team across days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. No prior experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support people with learning disabilities and autistic people to live fulfilling, independent and meaningful lives.
• Provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs, wishes and goals.
• Assist with everyday activities, help develop independence, and enable community access and social participation.

Salary: £26,228.00 FTE per annum + Sleep in Shifts paid at £69.76 per shift

Introduction to the role:

We are looking for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic Support Workers to join Grace Eyre and work within our 24/7 supported living service, supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people to live fulfilling, independent and meaningful lives.

As a Support Worker, you will play an important role in providing person-centred support that is tailored to each individual’s needs, wishes and goals. You will support people with everyday activities, developing independence, accessing their local community, building relationships and taking part in activities that are important to them.

We are looking for people who share Grace Eyre's values and are committed to promoting choice, independence, inclusion, dignity and respect. You will take the time to get to know the people you support, listen to what matters to them and encourage them to have control over their own lives.

Working within a 24/7 supported living service, you will work as part of a dedicated team and provide support across a range of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

You do not necessarily need previous experience as a Support Worker. What is most important is that you are reliable, patient, respectful and genuinely passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals. Full training and support will be provided.
