Orbis Support Limited in South Shields is seeking dedicated Support Workers to assist a young person living in their own home. You will provide person-centred support, engage in daily activities, and build trust through consistent interaction; weekend, evening, sleep-ins and night shifts are required. A DBS check is mandatory and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Full-time and part-time roles available with progression opportunities and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Social care qualifications desirable; full training provided.
• Demonstrated commitment to a person-centred, inclusive approach.
• Clean UK driving licence preferred.
• Experience with behaviours that may challenge.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, sleep-ins and waking nights.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are an employee-owned supported living organisation who specialise in providing bespoke packages of support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs who wish to live in the community in their own home.

We support adults & young people with learning disabilities, Autism, physical disabilities, support with and positively respond topeople’s behaviours.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a wonderful young person who lives in their own home. They have Autism & Learning Disability & are supported to communicate their wishes & needs. They like structure & routine in their day & enjoy a range of activities, such as watching DVD’s, listening to music, going on walks, going to the park. We need support staff who will work with the person for the long term, to build trust & strong relationships with them. We need positive loyal, committed staff who are fun & enjoy having a laugh & being a little silly to enrich their life.

We are looking to recruit a Full-Time and Part-Time Support Worker in Jarrow, South Shields . This role involves working weekends, evenings, sleep ins & waking nights.

£14.22per hour & £127.10 for sleep-ins , enhancement of £10 per waking nightshift, average annual salary of £34,150+ (based on full-time hours)
