Job summary

Kisimul Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our adult services team in Petworth. You will support young adults with complex needs, offering consistent care and a person-centred approach.

This role involves safeguarding, enabling recreational activities, helping with cooking and cleaning, building respectful relationships, and maintaining accurate records to monitor changes in needs and progress.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard young adults at all times in collaboration with the staff team
• Participate in a wide range of recreational events within the home and community
• Assist with practical care tasks such as cooking and cleaning
• Create positive relationships with the young adults, maintaining dignity and respect
• Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young adults
• Maintain accurate and clear record keeping
• Review and record any changes to the young adults' needs
• Contribute to the development of the team

• Working with the staff team across all levels to safeguard our young adults at all times.
• Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
• Assisting with practical tasks relating to care. For example, cooking and cleaning.
• Creating positive relationships with the young adults, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
• Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young adults.
• Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
• Ensuring that the needs of the young adults are being met and regularly reviewing and recording any changes to their needs.
• Actively contributing to the development of the team.
