Job summary

Agincare is hiring Bank Support Workers in Chard, Somerset, to help people live independently in their own homes and local communities.

As part of our team you will encourage active community involvement, support daily living activities, communicate effectively, and promote wellbeing. We value teamwork and initiative, and offer funded training and a company pension.

Where you’ll be working:

This is a unique service within Chard offering supporting living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community .

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;

• Encouraging - people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting - Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating - effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
• Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life.
• Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording - keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player - Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
