Job summary

Agincare in Chard is seeking Bank Support Workers to help deliver person-centred outcomes for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs. The role focuses on encouraging independence, daily living support, and active community participation within the local area.

You will be part of a dedicated team, with fully funded training, career development, and a company pension scheme. Bank positions are available and registration of rights to work is required.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging people to participate in community activities to promote independence.
• Supporting activities of daily living including personal care, meals planning and budgeting.
• Communicating effectively using the person’s preferred method.
• Engaging individuals to improve quality of life and celebrate their strengths.
• Specialising in positive behavioural support approaches as required.
• Recording accurate notes and reporting changes in health or circumstances to management.
• Working as part of a team and using initiative.

This is a unique service within Chard offering supporting living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

We are looking for Bank Support workers to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;

• Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating – effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
• Engaging – promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
• Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording – keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
