Job summary

Mirus Wales is recruiting a part-time Support Worker to join a small, home-based team in Pencoed. You will support people with learning disabilities, mental ill-health and autism to build relationships and participate in community life.

In this role you will drive to activities, assist with daily tasks, and work with professionals to provide person-centred support. The position is ideal for someone who values voice, choice and independence.

Qualifications

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

We have an excitingopportunity for a part time female Support Worker to join ourdedicated team in Pencoed working up to 20 hours per week. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community – so that they can live good lives.

We are three ladies who live in Pencoed area in ashared house.We arelooking for asupportworker who can encourageusto do more - both inourhome andinourlocal community.

You will need to hold a full UK driving license for this role

What You'llDo

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives.
  • Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines.
  • Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community.
  • Work alongside professionals such as social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure people receive the best support.
  • Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.
